New Zealand Ambassador David Taylor at the New Zealand wine promotion in Bali

New Zealand wines were highlighted at a recent wine tasting promotion hosted by Ambassador David Taylor and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) in Bali.
Up to 30 people, including sommeliers, restaurateurs and local media attended the tasting, said Athena Wu, NZTE’s Senior Business Development Manager based at the New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta.
“It was an excellent opportunity to highlight New Zealand’s reputation at producing wine, increase exposure, as well as strengthen ties with a key wine importer in Indonesia.
“New Zealand’s long and slow ripening period, results in an exciting array of wine styles with vibrant flavours which appeal to the Indonesian and expat palate alike”, she said.
As a result of the wine promotion, Indowines, the largest wine importer in Bali with over 110 labels, has expressed an interest in importing New Zealand wines and is now in discussions with several New Zealand wineries.
