New Zealand's Support for the ASEAN Humanitarian Centre

Ambassador Taylor listens to Said Faisal’s explanations on how the disaster early warning system works at AHA centre.

New Zealand Ambassador to Indonesia and ASEAN David Taylor recently visited the ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance (AHA) Centre. During the visit, Ambassador Taylor announced the next phase of two-year strategic support from a New Zealand technical adviser, Mr John Norton.

Said Faisal, the newly appointed Executive Director of the AHA Centre, welcomed New Zealand's support to establish a fully functioning AHA Centre.  New Zealand’s support to the AHA Centre is part of its Disaster Risk Management flagship development programme for ASEAN.
