NZ Ambassador Visits the ASEAN Foundation

The Executive Director of the ASEAN Foundation, Dr. Makarim Wibisono, warmly welcomed the Ambassador of New Zealand to Indonesia, Mr. David Taylor, who visited the ASEAN Foundation on Wednesday, 8 February 2012.

Ambassador David Taylor who was joined by Ms. Natalie Ryan, Second Secretary (Regional) of the New Zealand Embassy in Jakarta, informed of the activities that are currently on-going between New Zealand and ASEAN as well as between New Zealand and Indonesia.

With ASEAN, he said that there are four areas on the agenda, namely, education, disaster management, agriculture and leadership program for young business people. He also sees the important connectivity between ASEAN, New Zealand and Australia in furthering ASEAN development in many sectors, in particular, the dynamic evolution of trade and business in the region.
