Signing of four new bilateral cooperation instruments between New Zealand and Indonesia
One Arrangement and three Memoranda of Undertanding (MoUs) were signed during the recent official visit to Indonesia by New Zealand Prime Minister Rt Hon John Key.
These bilateral instruments provide a formal framework for closer cooperation between New Zealand and Indonesia in the fields of geothermal energy, labour issues, environmental issues, and agriculture. On the New Zealand side the four instruments were signed by Minister of Trade Hon Tim Groser, and on the Indonesian side respectively by Minister of Energy HE Jero Wacik, Minister of Labour and Transmigration HE Muhaimin Iskandar, Minister for the Environment HE Balthasar Kambuaya and Minister of Agriculture HE Suswono.
The signing of the Arrangement and MoUs took place at the Presidential Palace (Istana Merdeka) and was witnessed by Prime Minister Key and Indonesian President Yudhoyono.
