Visitor Visas
Italian citizens and citizens from the other visa-free countries are generally allowed to enter New Zealand without a visitor visa, provided their total stay in New Zealand is for three months or less.
Requirements for visa free entry are:
• Valid passport (1)
• Paid and valid return or onward flight ticket for a date within the three-month period
• Evidence of sufficient funds for their stay in New Zealand

(1) Passport Validity
If you are coming to New Zealand temporarily, your passport must be valid either:
For at least three months beyond the date on which you intend to depart New
Zealand, or
For one month beyond the date on which you intend to depart New Zealand, if the issuing government has consular representation in New Zealand that is able to issue and renew travel documents (you should check with your issuing authority before travelling).
