Doing business with New Zealand in Croatia
Thirty Croatian business and government representatives attended a joint New Zealand Inc. and Croatia Chamber of Economy seminar on “How to do business with New Zealand” in Zagreb on February 1, 2013 participants left convinced that much more could be done by both sides to lift trade in goods and services between Croatia and New Zealand as Croatia moves ever closer to joining the European Union in July 2013.
Lloyd Meiklejohn, Regional Investment Manager Europe at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) London and Laura Caccia, Business Development Manager at NZTE Milan joined New Zealand’s non-resident Ambassador to Croatia, Trevor Matheson, in presenting the seminar. They were joined by New Zealand’s Honorary Consul in Croatia, Nikola Jelinčić and generously supported by Sunčanica Skupnjak Kapić, Managing Director, and Jelena Dumičić, Associate, from the International Relations Department of the Croatia Chamber of Economy.
Seminar participants were hosted to a light lunch by the Croatia Chamber of Economy at the conclusion of the seminar that featured a tasting of New Zealand wines contributed by the New Zealand Ambassador. Participant feedback from the seminar has been highly complimentary with five or six genuine business enquiries being followed-up by NZTE Milan.
