New Zealand resumes funding to IFAD

New Zealand reached a landmark decision in June 2013 to resume funding to the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and has announced a contribution of US$1.2 million for the Ninth Replenishment of the Fund’s resources (IFAD9). The decision reflects New Zealand’s dedication to supporting rural development, particularly in the poorest and most fragile states of Africa, thus contributing to a more secure, equitable and prosperous world.
