New Zealand tied Denmark for first place as the world’s least corrupt country in the Corruption Perceptions Index 2013 released earlier this month by Berlin-based international non-governmental organization Transparency International. New Zealand was ranked first for eight years in a row in the annual survey that measures public sector corruption. Afghanistan, North Korea and Somalia shared the bottom place of the survey which covered 177 countries.
The New Zealand Defence Force has made a video of its recent humanitarian operation in the Philippines available to the public.
The latest Tourism Sector Report released on 26 November shows New Zealand received more than 2.6 million international visitors last year. Though visitor numbers are increasing, there have been significant changes to New Zealand’s international visitor markets.
