A Special Screening of The Hobbit

A special screening of ‘The Hobbit: an Unexpected Journey’ was held in Tokyo on 18 December by Tourism New Zealand, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, Air New Zealand and the New Zealand Embassy. 

Guests were treated to obento-style New Zealand cuisine and fine New Zealand wines while they watched the movie. This was the first of three Hobbit movies filmed in New Zealand and directed by New Zealander Sir Peter Jackson.  Several fantastic travel prizes donated by Air New Zealand and Tourism New Zealand were drawn on the night – congratulations to the winners!
