Air NZ drops fares 30%

If you’ve been considering a trip to New Zealand in the near future, this might be just the news you’ve been waiting for, as Air New Zealand has just launched a new campaign exclusive to Japan, offering 30% off their standard fares!

Tourism New Zealand’s regional manager in Japan, Nick Mudge, says that demand over the peak New Zealand summer months has been strong, and that the two organisations (Air NZ and Tourism NZ) are working on ways to extend that interest into some of the traditionally quieter periods.

Japan is currently New Zealand’s fifth-largest source of international visitors, and Tourism NZ believes Japanese visitors to be extremely valuable as they tend to return to New Zealand 2.7 times on average after their first trip.  And with prices like these, perhaps that average will rise even further.
