End of Year Visa Application Deadlines

The Embassy closes for the year on Friday 24 December and re-opens on Tuesday 4 January.

Student visa applications (Japanese citizens)

Japanese student visa applicants wishing to receive visas within the 2010 calendar year are advised of the following application receipt deadlines:

     Applications submitted by post: Tuesday 30 November
     Applications submitted at the counter: Friday 3 December

Applications received after these dates may not be processed until the New Year.

All other visa applications

While there are no application deadlines, due to it being a busy period applicants are advised to expect processing to take up to an extra week over the standard listed processing times. Please note processing times exclude Embassy holidays.

Note to all applicants

Passports cannot be returned while the Embassy is closed.
