For New Zealand citizens wishing to depart Japan

New Zealand citizens and families wishing to leave Japan who cannot secure tickets for a commercial flight, can register with the Embassy to request assistance with making departure arrangements on a commercial service. Please send an email to tky@mfat.govt.nz, with the following information:

1. Full name of all people travelling and their passport numbers;
2. Your contact address in Japan;
3. Contact phone number/s;
4. Your departure airport and destination;
5. Names of airlines you have already tried to book.

If the embassy arranges a departure flight which you agree to, you will need to settle the cost directly with the airline.
