Minister Hosts Gathering for Those Who Studied in NZ

Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills and Employment Steven Joyce hosted a network gathering for former Japanese students who studied in New Zealand at the Embassy on the weekend.

The Minister welcomed more than 60 guests who studied at various academic institutions in New Zealand. Three alumni from a broad range of career paths – rugby, theatre and politics - spoke of the impact of their experience in New Zealand on their lives.

The guests then enjoyed a traditional kiwi BBQ and were quizzed on their general knowledge of New Zealand.
