Nissui centenerary - Aotearoa Fisheries delegation

A delegation of 18 from Aotearoa Fisheries Ltd, Sealord, Te Ohu Kaimoana and several iwi visited Tokyo for the installation of a set of Maori carvings in the foyer of Nissui’s new Hachioji Innovation Centre.

The gift – Te Whare of Tangaroa – takes the form of a carved poutokomanawa and two side panels. It was presented on the occasion of Nissui’s centenary to affirm and celebrate the close relationships between iwi of New Zealand and Nissui. The Ambassador attended the dawn ceremony and hosted a reception for Nissui and the New Zealand delegation.
