New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) held three private food and beverage trade shows around Japan dubbed the "New Zealand Food Connection".

The shows took place in the regional cities of Fukuoka, Osaka, and Sapporo, and were designed to promote New Zealand foods and beverages to professional buyers. Their objective is to generate leads and deals for selected New Zealand exporters including Tatua Dairy Co-operative, Talleys Group, Aotearoa Seafoods, New Zealand King Salmon, Quality Foods Southland, New Zealand Berry Group, Avanza Group, and ANZCO Foods.

NZTE plans to make the New Zealand Food Connection shows a regular fixture in future.
