Rise Up Christchurch Global Telethon/Japan

On May 22 New Zealand will host a global telethon from 9am to 9pm (NZ time) to raise money for the New Zealand Government's Christchurch Earthquake Appeal. KEA Japan and Kiwi Contacts will hold a charity event supporting the global telethon at Wakanui – the latest NZ home away from home. Please join everyone at the live Japan event and send your message of support back to family and friends.

Their goal is for every person attending to contact 5 friends either in Japan, NZ or anywhere around the World and get them to pledge 1,000yen (or the equivalent in any currency).

There will be raffles, live entertainment, and `not alone T-Shirts` for sale.

The entry fee includes your meal of lamb chops and beef, and one free drink. More chops can be purchased on the day for 1,000yen a plate (all proceeds to the telethon). It will be a cash bar after your first drink.
