Video released of NZDF operations in the Philippines

The New Zealand Defence Force has made a video of its recent humanitarian operation in the Philippines available to the public.

A Royal New Zealand Air Force C-130, which arrived in the central Philippines city of Cebu on 15 November with aid and emergency supplies, joined a multinational fleet of military aircraft that were helping distribute food, water and emergency shelter to survivors stranded in remote locations in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan devastated some areas of the country.

As the humanitarian operation drew to a close, the 24-member team with the C-130 Hercules delivered over 1 million pounds of relief goods, and transported around 1300 survivors from typhoon-wrecked communities of the eastern Philippines.

Philippine authorities have thanked the New Zealand government for their contribution to the international humanitarian aid operation.
