Volunteer Weekend in Minamisanriku

The Food, Agriculture and Hospitality Committee in co-operation with the non-profit organization ‘OGA for Aid’ are working to organize their fourth volunteer trip to Minamisanriku to assist the local community in recovering from the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami.

There will be a tour of the town and affected areas and the trip will include volunteering with ‘Green Famers Miyagi’, a co-operative group started by OGA to help plant the fields and revitalize the area. Please note that volunteers will need to pay for accommodation and transport.
