Transfer of a valid temporary visa

This checklist has been designed to assist you when lodging your application for a transfer of a valid temporary visa from your old to new passports. Please ensure that all relevant documents are in order before submitting your application to them.

Important Notes

It is important that you provide all the relevant information requested below so we can accept and process your application promptly. If any of the following are not received, the application will be rejected and returned to you unprocessed.

Application Fee

Please see the application fee schedule on the Immigration New Zealand website for the correct fee which must be paid in Korean Won. Please note that this fee is a processing fee and is NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of the outcome of your visa application.

Acceptable modes of payment include cash, cash cheque, or Korean post office vouchers made out to "NZ Embassy, Seoul" in exact amount.

Application for transfer of a valid Temporary Visa from an expired / cancelled passport to a new passport.

  1. New passport and previous passport where a valid visa is endorsed.
  2. Application for Transfer or Confirmation of a Visa Form INZ1023 fully completed in English and signed.
  3. Transfer of visa application fee.

Processing Time

In most cases, processing takes 5 working days to process your application provided all documents are in place when an application is made. The processing time may be longer if we need to refer your application to other INZ branch. You will be advised of any delays in the processing of your application.
