New Zealand dance company Black Grace delivered a stunning performance at the opening ceremony of the 8th Busan International Dance Festival on 1 June.

Their commanding performance had the audience of thousands enthralled as they relocated the sounds and movements of New Zealand and the Pacific into the beautiful beach town of Haeundae in Busan, South Korea. Black Grace is one of New Zealand’s leading dance companies and has held a unique position on the world stage for over 17 years. Fusing Pacific and contemporary dance in an extraordinary and dynamic form, Black Grace is internationally renowned for its artistry, creative excellence and innovation. The Group is led by founder and artistic director, Neil Ieremia.
