New Zealand food and beverage blogger event – New Zealand Summer Picnic
On June 5th, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise presented a ‘New Zealand Summer Picnic’ cooking class with leading monthly cooking and cuisine magazine Essen at Hou Restaurant in Seoul, aimed at introducing Korean food bloggers and consumers to New Zealand food and beverage products available at retail stores in Korea.
Fifteen influential bloggers were selected and invited to the ‘New Zealand Summer Picnic’ event. Korean-Kiwi star chef, Jin Ho Lee, led the cooking demonstration and prepared cuisine with premium quality ingredients from 12 participating New Zealand companies. Trade Commissioner Ryan Freer participated in the event which included a cooking demonstration, tasting and photo session. A range of New Zealand products, including beef, lamb, kiwifruit, buttercup squash, blackcurrant, avocado spread, honey, beef jerky, syrup, wine, juice and beer were introduced to the panel of bloggers and were very well received.
