New Zealand wine tasting and dinner – A journey through New Zealand wine country
On 24 April, at the Ambassador’s Residence, New Zealand Trade and Enterprise held a New Zealand wine tasting and dinner event for twelve key Korean media contacts and influential bloggers, including leading online wine portal websites and trend-setting monthly magazines. Mr Joshua Hall, a New Zealand wine journalist, led the tasting of premium New Zealand wines pitched as ‘A Journey through New Zealand Wine Country’. Jin Ho Lee, Korean-Kiwi star chef, prepared cuisine with New Zealand ingredients paired with premium wines from New Zealand. Ambassador Patrick Rata and Trade Commissioner Ryan Freer participated in the event which included a New Zealand wine lecture, tasting, dinner and photo session. A range of New Zealand wines, including sparkling wine, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, riesling, pinot noir and merlot from various New Zealand wine regions were introduced to the panel of experts and were very well received.
