Villa Maria’s 50th anniversary celebrations
The Ambassador’s Residence provided the venue for New Zealand winery Villa Maria’s 28 June Korean media event to celebrate its 50th vintage.
Ms Charlotte Read, Asia Market Manager, together with Villa Maria’s Korean partner, Shindong Wine, invited 13 key Korean media contacts from leading wine industry magazines, online wine portal websites and trend-setting monthly magazines. Ambassador Patrick Rata and Trade Commissioner Graeme Solloway attended and the occasion included a photo session, press conference and lunch featuring Villa Maria wines. A range of Korean dishes, including raw fish, beef, and soup consisting of ginseng, chicken, octopus and abalone were introduced as good matching Korean foods for Villa Maria wines.
