New Zealand dance company Black Grace delivered a stunning performance at the opening ceremony of the 8th Busan International Dance Festival on 1 June.

Their commanding performance had the audience of thousands enthralled as they relocated the sounds and movements of New Zealand and the Pacific into the beautiful beach town of Haeundae in Busan, South Korea.

Ambassador Patrick Rata attended the opening ceremony as a guest speaker to support Black Grace. In his remarks, Ambassador Rata congratulated the organizers on a magnificent occasion and highlighted Black Grace’s participation as a wonderful opportunity to emphasize the Korea-New Zealand 2012 Year of Friendship.
