The New Zealand High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Public Affairs and Research Officer to help advance and support New Zealand’s interests.
In this busy position, you will help to identify and develop strategies for public and profile-raising events and functions that promote New Zealand’s interests. You will also support the Post’s engagement with media, government officials, local contacts and the business sector and be responsible for conducting research and analysis, and preparing reports.
Your excellent organisational skills and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stake holders, will be key to your success. Strong written and oral English and local language communication skills and ability in research and critical analysis are also required. Experience in a public affairs or media role would be an advantage.
Annual starting salary will be dependent upon skills and experience. Part time work option is available.
