New Zealand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry wins 2011 Halal Journal Award

New Zealand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has won the 2011 Halal Journal Award for Best Service Provider. The Halal Journal Awards, presented by former Prime Minister of Malaysia YAB Tun Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi at a gala dinner in Kuala Lumpur as part of World Halal Forum 2011, recognise outstanding achievement and innovation in the halal industry. The award for Best Service Provider was presented to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in recognition of the fact that New Zealand is the first non-Muslim country to develop a halal regulatory framework to ensure the integrity of its halal supply system.
