Important change to visa processing effective 24 October 2011
As of Monday 24 October, the New Zealand Embassy in Mexico City will no longer process any visa applications. From this date, applications from Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Venezuela will be processed by the New Zealand Embassy in Washington. Applications from Cuba will be processed by the New Zealand High Commission in Ottawa.

Rugby World Cup 2011 to be held in New Zealand
This year, New Zealand plays host to the Rugby World Cup 2011, bringing together 20 nations from around the world. The Rugby World Cup 2011 will run from 9 September - 24 October across New Zealand. 48 matches will be played all over New Zealand, from Whangarei in the north to Invercargill in the very south. More than 85,000 visitors are expected for the event, including over 2,000 of the world’s media, and the worldwide television audience is estimated at four billion viewers.
