Mexico working holiday scheme

A reciprocal working holiday scheme was signed between Mexico and New Zealand in Auckland on 7 September 2007 during the visit of Mexican President Felipe Calderón. It came into force 31 March 2008.  This is Mexico's first Working Holiday Scheme, a reflection of the strong relationship between both countries.

This scheme allows young New Zealanders and Mexicans between 18 and 30 years of age to enter the other country as a tourist, with the possibility to work temporarily as well as study short-term.

If you are a Mexican interested in a working holiday in New Zealand, please refer to the visa section in Spanish of this website.

If you are a New Zealander interested in a working holiday in Mexico, please see the New Zealanders overseas section of this website.
