Visit, work and student visas

Venezuelan nationals require a visa to visit, study or work in New Zealand. Venezuelan nationals should apply for these visas by sending their applications to the New Zealand Embassy in Washington.

Transit

Venezuelan nationals are exempt from the transit visa requirement.

Medical Certificates

Venezuelans who intend to be in New Zealand for more than six months are required to submit a Temporary Entry X-ray Certificate, or a Medical and Chest X-ray Certificate if they plan to be in New Zealand for more than 12 months.

Both certificates must be completed by panel doctors. For a list of panel doctors please refer to the 'Doctors for immigration medicals' section of the Immigration New Zealand website. Type the word 'Venezuela' in the form and the list of doctors will appear.
