If the deceased person has a travel or medical insurance policy then you should contact the company concerned as soon as possible to seek their assistance and guidance. The insurance company usually contacts a funeral director to handle the arrangements.

Funeral directors in Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala and Venezuela will be able to handle the formalities of arranging transportation of a body or ashes to New Zealand.
