New Zealand and Venezuela

New Zealand established diplomatic relations with Venezuela in 1980. The bilateral relationship is based largely on trade, particularly in dairy products.

In 2012, New Zealand exported NZ$459 million worth of goods to Venezuela, of which NZ$454 million were in the dairy sector, making it New Zealand's fifth largest dairy export market in the world for the period.

For further information on the New Zealand - Venezuela bilateral relationship, please refer to the Venezuela country paper on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website.

New Zealand currently does not have an Honorary Consul in Venezuela.
