New Zealand Embassy The Hague, The Netherlands

Death of a New Zealander

Death of a New Zealander

If you are making arrangements following the death of a New Zealander in the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland or Norway, the New Zealand Embassy’s Consular Staff can provide guidance if you need it. For contact details for the Embassy, please refer to the 'About this Embassy' section.

If the deceased person has a travel or medical insurance policy then you should contact the company concerned as soon as possible to seek their assistance and guidance. The insurance company usually contacts a funeral director to handle the arrangements.

Funeral directors in the Netherlands, Denmark, Finland, and Norway will be able to handle the formalities of arranging transportation of a body or ashes to New Zealand.
