NZ documentary featuring this week at IDFA in Amsterdam: 'Brother Number One'

Screening this week at the IDFA in Amsterdam (the International Documentary Film Festival) is a New Zealand documentary by award-winning filmmaker Annie Goldson, Brother Number One.

The film follows the personal and deeply moving journey of Olympian and Trans-Atlantic rowing champion Rob Hamill to Cambodia, where he attends the current War Crimes Tribunal. Rob's brother Kerry was a hippie sailor who along with his English friend John Dewhirst, was captured by the Khmer Rouge in the late 1970s. Kerry was tortured and murdered in the notorious S-21 prison. Rob, a Kiwi, was the only Westerner to testify at the tribunal.
