The 14th Pacific Games – Assistance from the New Zealand Consulate-General
The New Zealand Consulate-General in Noumea provides consular assistance to New Zealand citizens (including those from the Cook Islands, Niue and Tokelau) and can also provide assistance to Samoan citizens.
We can:
- give advice, with the aim of helping you to help yourself
- help with a lost or stolen passport
- help you contact relatives or friends to request emergency funds
- provide a list of English-speaking lawyers, and help you contact family and friends, if you are detained or arrested
- help you contact family and friends if you are ill or injured
- help with arrangements following a death overseas
- help during crises, such as civil unrest and natural disasters.
We encourage participants at the Games with New Zealand citizenship to register with the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade website, www.safetravel.govt.nz, as this will help us find you and assist you in an emergency.
