Tourism/Business Visitor Visa (for visits up to 6 months)
For tourism, business meetings, academic visits of less than 6 months

To apply for a Tourism/Business Visitor Visa, applicants must supply the following information:
- A “Tourist/Business Visitor Visa Application” form completed, signed and dated for each applicant (one application form may include a single applicant or principal applicant, partner and dependant children under 20 years old). The application form is available on www.immigration.govt.nz/forms
- Two passport photographs of each person included in the application with the names on the back
- Original passports. The passports must be valid for at least three months past the date you are to leave New Zealand.
- Citizens from other countries must provide evidence of their residence status in Colombia, Peru or Chile (notarised copy of residence visa, identity card)
- Evidence of your intention to leave New Zealand. For example: tickets for return or onward travel to a country which you have the right to enter
- Proof of funds: This means you must have a minimum of:
* NZ$1000 per person for each month of the visit, or
* NZ$400 per person per month if accommodation has already been paid for. - Funds bank statements of your bank account or saving accounts from the last three months, or;
- A bank certificate confirming that you hold sufficient funds in products such as stocks, investments, etc.
- If you are travelling on business, please provide a letter of invitation from the company/university in New Zealand specifying, the purpose of the trip, its duration and whether or not the invitation covers your expenses.
- A letter from your employer specifying your position and if you have been provided with funds to cover your expenses.
- Medical insurance: We recommend that you have comprehensive medical insurance for the duration of your visit.

Because original passports are required, we suggest that all documents are sent by courier. The Embassy is not responsible for documents lost in transit
If the purpose of your visit to New Zealand is other than tourism or business, or you do not have sufficient funds to cover your expenses, you must apply for a Visitor Visa
The visa process takes approximately 15 working days once the application has been received and the visa fee has been confirmed in our account and may vary depending on demand.
