Consular Adviser/Team Administrator

The New Zealand Embassy in Manila is looking for their next Consular Adviser/Team Administrator. 

The Consular Adviser/Team Administrator is responsible for providing advice and assistance to distressed New Zealanders in the Philippines, and for providing business support to help ensure the efficient and smooth running of the office.

The successful applicant must have experience in office administration.  He/She must be results-oriented and have sound judgement, good analytical skills, attention to detail, motivation, initiative, and an ability to set priorities.  The successful applicant will need to be highly organised and have excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Tagalog skills would also be valuable, but are not considered necessary.  He/She must be able to work effectively as part of a team in a cross-cultural environment.  In particular the ability to build working relationships with off shore teams will be key.  Preference will be given to a college graduate.

We are looking for the successful appointee to commence duties early September 2015.   The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions and must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate Philippine working visa.  This is the responsibility of the applicant and any offer of employment is subject to this.  In addition, relocation to the Philippines is to be undertaken at the expense of the applicant.

Administration Assistant/Head of Mission Driver

The New Zealand Embassy has currently an opportunity for Administration Assistant/HOM Driver position.

The Administration Assistant/HOM Driver is responsible for supporting the efficient and effective operation of the Post by providing administrative support, IT/technology role, property administration support as well as driving and vehicle maintenance tasks.  The applicant will assume a leading role in coordinating events hosted by the Embassy.

The position requires the person to be highly organised, efficient and proactive with demonstrated driving skills and a high regard for the safety of occupants.

The applicant we are looking for will be able to work independently without requiring close supervision and will demonstrate sound judgement.  They will also be able to work harmoniously and effectively in a team environment.  Preference will be given to college graduates who demonstrate an ability to be self starters.

The position is a locally employed full time position.

We are looking for the successful appointee to commence duties 1 July 2015. The successful applicant will be employed on local terms and conditions.
