New Zealand Government strongly condemns the targeting of innocent civilians in Xinjiang

The New Zealand Government is shocked and saddened by the violent attack on innocent civilians in Xinjiang on 22 May. New Zealand strongly condemns violence and terrorism in all circumstances.

On behalf of the Government, New Zealand’s Ambassador HE Carl Worker would like to convey his deepest condolences to the victims and the families of all those affected.

New Zealand Minister Jo Goodhew, while speaking at an APEC forum in Beijing today, conveyed the New Zealand Government’s deepest condolences to the victims and their families.
