The High Commission is closed on the following public holidays. Only emergency consular assistance is available on these days.

The following New Zealand and Japanese holidays will be observed during 2013:

New Zealand Embassies no longer issue Passports. Applications for new Passports now have to be made through the Department of Internal Affairs in Wellington.

The Department of Internal Affairs[external link] has information and application forms online.

You can submit your application and pay your fees through the Embassy in Tehran.

If your Passport is lost or stolen, the first thing you should do is notify local police and obtain a police report. You will need this police report when you deal with the Iranian government in obtaining permission to leave Iran (exit visa) and also in applying for a new Passport.
