Payment options within the Philippines

Payment to the New Zealand Embassy in Manila from within the Philippines can be made:

a)     In person by paying in cash at the embassy;
b)    Sending cash via courier to the embassy (nationwide courier companies that accept cash
        include LBC Express Inc and 2GO).  The embassy accepts no responsibility
        for cash in transit,  or;
c)    By sending a local bank manager’s cheque to the embassy (please note clearance will
       depend on how long the courier takes to deliver the cheque; 3-5 days will also be required
       for the bank to clear the cheque).  The bank manager’s cheque is to be made out to the
       New Zealand Embassy Manila.
d)    Please do not send pre-paid LBC courier envelopes, as LBC no longer collects from the
       embassy.

Payment from outside the Philippines

Payment from outside the Philippines can be made by obtaining a bank manager's cheque or a bank draft “drawn on a bank in Manila” from an overseas bank.  The bank manager’s cheque or bank draft must be in Philippine pesos and be able to be cleared in Manila.  The cheque should be made out to the New Zealand Embassy Manila.

Note:

The service that the fee covers (eg provision of a consular letter) can not be provided, or completed, until any cheque or bank draft is cleared by the embassy’s bank.  Clients should also factor in the time required to courier their payment to the embassy and time for the embassy to process and bank the payment.  Processing times for payments not made in person will vary.  Payees should allow at least two weeks for the embassy to be able to confirm receipt of such payments.  If an urgent service is required, payment should be made in cash (see above).
