A taste of New Zealand in Cebu

Cebuanos will have the opportunity to sample some of the best food and beverage products that New Zealand has to offer next week, and they’ll be prepared by a visiting celebrity chef.

The Radisson Blu hotel, managed by Kiwi Grant Gaskin, will host a New Zealand food and beverage festival from 15 to 20 February.  The hotel’s main restaurant and bar will both feature top quality New Zealand products that are already being imported by local companies.

A Maori cultural (“kapa haka”) group will perform traditional songs and dances, including the world-famous haka, at the hotel throughout the week.

The hotel’s New Zealand connection doesn’t stop there — head chef Ofir Yudilevich is also a Kiwi, and he will be joined in the kitchen by celebrity chef Simon Gault, fresh from judging the second season of MasterChef New Zealand.
