Fee changes and new passport forms

New Zealand's Department of Internal Affairs has announced a fee increase and the introduction of new passport forms.

The fees for all Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) products and services were raised on 1 October 2010, in line with the increase of New Zealand's Goods and Services Tax (GST) from 12.5% to 15%.  As a result, the fees for some services available at the New Zealand Embassy have also been adjusted.

For more information please visit the DIA website.

On 1 October 2010 new New Zealand passport forms were also introduced.  There is now an 'adult form' for those applying for an adult passport for the first time, an 'adult renewal form' for those renewing their adult passport, and a new 'child's form' for those under the age of 16 renewing their passport or applying for a new one.

One of the most significant changes affecting New Zealanders in the Philippines is that there is no longer a requirement for the applicant to send their old/current passport when applying to renew their passport.

Passport applications can be sent by the applicant directly to DIA in Wellington or Sydney by mail or courier.
