New Zealand products on show at the Mall of Asia

Filipinos had the opportunity to sample and buy tasty New Zealand food and beverage products at the ‘Experience New Zealand’ three-day trade fair from 5 to 7 February.

Delicious New Zealand salmen, beef, lamb, cheese and wine were all on show at the SM Mall of Asia atrium.

New Zealand Ambassador Andrew Matheson opened the trade fair on the evening of 6 February.  “This is the final element of a week-long series of events designed to give Filipinos the opportunity to ‘experience New Zealand’ in Manila,” he said.

The informal opening ceremony also included a performance by two musicians flown from New Zealand for the week’s events, Toni Huata  and Karl Teariki.

26 exhibitors took part in the event, mainly New Zealand exporters and Philippine importers and agents from the food and beverage and travel industries, along with immigration and education agents.  Immigration New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise also ran stands.
