Next New Zealand ambassador to the Philippines announced

Career diplomat Reuben Levermore will be the next New Zealand ambassador to the Philippines, Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully announced late last week.

“As the new ambassador Mr Levermore will play an important role in helping further strengthen the trading relationship with the Philippines,” Mr McCully said.

Mr Levermore is currently working as the trade private secretary to Minister of Trade Tim Groser, and had previously worked at the New Zealand mission to the European Union in Brussels and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s trade negotiations team.
