Prime Minister John Key will host the President of the Philippines for discussions on two-way trade and other bilateral matters later this month.


Foreign Affairs Minister Murray McCully will meet his counterpart from the Philippines tomorrow for discussions on bilateral and trade issues.


Despite the heavy monsoon rains and flooding currently affecting Metro Manila, the embassy remains open. 


New Zealand's Trade Minister Tim Groser today welcomed the second ASEAN-CER Integration Partnership Forum, scheduled to take place in Manila, the Philippines, on 19 May.


The New Zealand and Australian embassies will again jointly host the Anzac Day commemoration in Manila.  This will be held on Wednesday 25 April at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Libingan ng mga Bayani) in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Manila, starting at 5:30 am.


The New Zealand Embassy has once again joined with our Australian counterpart and Philippine government agencies to spread the word to the business community about the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement (AANZFTA).


The New Zealand Government has awarded 15 postgraduate scholarships to Filipinos under the New Zealand-ASEAN Scholars Awards, with funding from the New Zealand Aid Programme.


New Zealand is contributing NZ$500,000 (about 17 million pesos) to support emergency relief in response to the devastation caused by Typhoon Sendong (international name Washi).


The New Zealand Embassy will be closed from 12.30pm on Friday 23 December 2011 and will reopen on Tuesday 3 January 2012.
