First Street in Poland named after a New Zealander
Since June 2011 one of Warsaw’s streets is named after Peter Fraser, Prime Minister of New Zealand 1940-1949. Peter Fraser invited a group of around 850 Poles, who escaped from Siberia during World War II to New Zealand.
