"Around the World with the Museum” – New Zealand’s World Heritage Sites

Spectacular Tongariro National Park

The Historical Museum in Warsaw has initiated a series of meetings on UNESCO world heritage sites entitled "Around the World with the Museum."

Starting from January 2014, on every first and third Tuesday of the month, those who are interested have the opportunity to participate and experience a unique "trip" to the most interesting and unusual natural sites in the world.

On 6 May 2014, Ambassador Wendy Hinton was Guest of Honour at one of the meetings, during which the participants were able to become familiar with the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in New Zealand. The event met with great interest and was held in front of a full auditorium. After the presentation, participants had time to ask the Ambassador questions not only related to the subject of the meeting, but also to other aspects of daily life in New Zealand such as work, education and the economy.

On behalf of Ambassador Hinton we would like to thank all the guests for their participation and for displaying such great interest in New Zealand’s history, culture and heritage.
