Charity auction success!

The Hobbit poster, which grossed 2400 NZD

During the visit of New Zealand Minister of Culture and Heritage, Hon Christopher Finlayson, to Poland in January 2013, the Minister took part in the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Final and donated a Hobbit poster signed by Peter Jackson. This has now been sold for 6100 PLN (2400 NZD).

The Orchestra is a Polish charity organisation, which collects donations for specialist hospital equipment for children and elderly people in Poland. The Minister had the opportunity to experience at first hand the activity in the Orchestra's bustling TV studio. Following his return to New Zealand, and with the help of Peter Jackson, the Minister organised the donation of a signed poster of The Hobbit film for one of this year's auctions.

We are thrilled to announce that the signed poster reached an impressive 6100 PLN (2400 NZD). The auction was hosted by Allegro - a Polish buy/sell website. The succesful bidder was kornelk3, whom we congratulate. We hope he enjoys his new acquisition.
