“Mokpo – Maori tattoo. Work of Francis Potter” is the title of an exhibition in the Museum of Asia and Pacific in Warsaw which took place between 10-th and 30-th of November 2011.

On the first day of the exhibition, guests from Poland and abroad took part in an official vernissage. All paintings shown are the work of Mr Francis Potter, a graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts in Auckland, currently living and working in Poland. Mr Potter’s work concerns Maori tattoo motives and New Zealand pop icons. Thanks to his work Maori culture became less mysterious for the Polish audience. The exhibition was held under the patronage of the New Zealand Embassy.
