Flight disruptions in Poland and the Baltics
Volcanic ash clouds from an eruption in Iceland have disrupted flights throughout much of Europe including Poland and the Baltic States.
Airspace restrictions are currently being reviewed and it is anticipated that some (but not all) European airports may be operational again in coming days.
Continued disruption to air travel can be expected even as airports reopen as airlines work to clear the back log of stranded passengers. Further volcanic activity can also be expected and this has the potential to lead to further travel disruptions.
