Hon Tim Groser in Warsaw and Kraków

Hon Tim Groser, Minister for Trade, Minister for Climate Change Issues and Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Poland on 15-19 July.

The visit started off in Warsaw, where Minister Groser met with the Polish Deputy Prime Minister, Janusz Piechocinski and Agriculture and Rural Development Minister, Stanislaw Kalemba. Minister Groser also gave a lecture on “New Zealand’s Perspective on International Trade Policy Architecture” at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) and had a lunch with several business leaders engaged in trade and investment between Poland and New Zealand. The visit continued in Krakow, where he was a Special Guest at the Major Economies Forum on Energy and Climate, which took place on 18 July.  Overall, the visit confirmed the similarity of views held by New Zealand and Poland on climate change and economic issues.
